Ahhh.... Yes, my passion for music is strong. I LOVE music.... I dunno what I'd do without it. I like a WIDE variety of music.... I pretty much like everything, EXCEPT for country..... ICK!!!! Some of my favorite bands, artists, etc....are Greenday, Bush, Guster, Semisonic, Creed, Dave Matthews Band, Fuel, Foo Fighters, Collective Soul, Everclear, No Doubt, Goo Goo Dolls, Offspring, Barenaked Ladies, Blink 182, The Get Up Kids, Weezer, Lifehouse, and tons more!
Concerts!
I went to my first concert on Feb. 27th, 1995. I was 13, and unfortunately, I had to go with my father... ick. He had gotten me tickets to see Boyz II Men. Now DONT laugh. Back then I was in love with them. I was so overjoyed when they got out on the stage that I cried. It was a really kewl concert, but it would have been so much better if my dad would have given his ticket to Isaac. My dad SAT there the whole time and looked like he was about to fall asleep. But ohwell... it made my day just to see them.
My second concert was sometime in the spring of 1996. I can't remember the date off the top of my head. I had went to see Immature with my best friend Candice and her mom, cause god forbid we go to a concert alone! The only thing i really remember about this concert was how late it started. We prolly sat there for an hour and an half after it was scheduled to start. Apparently they were hoping for more people to show up. But what do you expect when you're not a very popular group? So when the do finally come on the stage, they sing like 4 songs and then it's over. It was kewl to see them... but if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't do it.
My 3rd concert was on April 25, 1997. I had gotten my ticket and everything was kewl, until 2 days before the concert. My mother had decided that her car wouldn't be able to make the trip up there, so it was looking like i wasn't going to be going. I cried, I mean i cried. I was so upset. But my mom found out that the receptionist at work, her best friend was going to see Bush up there too, so my mom called her up and got me a ride up there. So here I am, only 15 years old, riding up to Moline with a complete stranger to go to a concert all by myself. And do you think my mom was worried? Oh no... she didnt even wait up til i got home. But the conert was really kewl. Veruca Salt opened for them, and I was looking forward to seeing them too. They rocked. And then Bush. Oh my god. Gavin Rossdale is so hot. But I wasn't there just to see him. When i tell most people that they just think i went to the concert just to see him. But they don't know that Bush is one of my fav. bands... ever. But it was a kewl concert, and i would love to see them again.
The next concert i went to is tied for my favorite concert ever. It was on March 11, 2001, and that night i fell in love. I fell in love with Weezer. Weezer. It was the best birthday present i have ever gotten... thanks kyle :-D! It was so kewl. Weezer. Ozma and The Get Up Kids opened for them. Ozma wasn't too great live, but their cd is totally awesome, and one of these days i might order it. And The Get Up Kids were totally kewl live. I had never heard of them, but right afterwards i wanted to go out and buy their cd, and i did. And then there was Weezer. Weezer. You can never say Weezer too much! They were so kewl!!! I've never had so much fun in my life. And we were so close! And they sang my favorite song!!! It was totally kewl. And i would do anything to go see them again. Anything for Weezer! ANYTHING!!!!! I recommend that EVERYONE go out and buy all of the Weezer albums... cause if you dont... you suck!!! WEEZER!
